Dec 2, 2008 - saulaan dalai had his chance before 1959, and he screwed it up. he was against the abolishment of slavery, he was against land reform. when dalai had his autonomy it was autocracy by the lamas, tibetan culture was so backwards no science, no health, no schools. no infra structure. he was total out of times. can you imagine if dalai did not leave ?? the slavery would have continued, saulaan would be the most meanest land lord gauging eyes, skinning slaves alive.

Well that one's just not true. Tibetans in Dharamsala have infrastructure, health care and schools.
