Dec 2, 2007 - There are some who believe as you say, but the other side of the question has to do with increasing federalism. Personally, I think the question of abortion should be decided by the individual states. This aligns better with the constitutional powers assigned to the states and does not grant power to contrived court decisions such as Roe v. Wade.

However, I would suggest you stop reading Howard Zinn and Chomsky and read the other side of the argument for once. As far as UN vetoes the majority that fit your description are actually used towards Israel. If you consider Israel a dictatorship then maybe your comment has some merit but I wouldn't agree.

Because American companies either have labor or consumer markets in almost every country in the world. Iraq? Highly likely economics was the primary motive. 1950's Iran? Economics.
