I'm not in favor of communism, however a mixed economy is best in my opinion. It's not like companies can't make a profit, it's when they make excessively large profit at the expense of others' misfortunes.

With the Bakken Oil Reserve in N & S Dakota, and the Oil in Alaska, and the Oil off our shores in the Gulf (which China, Russia and other countries are drilling) we have SUBSTANTIALLY more than 3%. The Bakken Oil Reserve alone is estimated to have enough Oil to power every US home, car and industry for 40 years. Taking into account growth.
