Nov 20, 2008 - That would be a good anaology if the town only had two people, but I'm pretty sure it had a few more.
Scotty7617 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Check your history. The first thing ruthless dictators do before they assume full power is either take away or restrict their people's access to guns.
Scotty7617 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Actually, I also support background checks and not letting felons own guns, not useless measures like waiting periods. True, and why don't you check where most of those murders occur? I guarantee you'll most of them occur in the places with the strictest gun control laws.
Shadyac21 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - No I think people use Gun control as a cover, what they really want is gun ban. I don't think registering guns makes a damn difference, background checks yes. Gun control does nothing.
Shadyac21 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Thats not true your wrong dude. Look criminals get guns either way, so why take away our best line of defense. People like you who let your ego get in the way, your stupid beliefs over power the truth. People are such pussies in defending themselves. I'm am paranoid, that people like you will let Obama take out guns away while he comes to power.
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - It doesn't matter how many crimes were committed to begin with...the fact is that there used to be 11 burglaries for every 1000 residents and that went down 89%...Thats why in statistics like that, its all about percentage and not number...What don't you get about that...Also, of course they allowed loopholes so that just about anybody could get out of getting a gun...I don't think you should make anybody really get a gun no matter how smart it is
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - The point is that guns became a far more real thing to the criminals in that town and the residents did own far more after that...You can yammer on all you want, but statistics don't lie and they say YOU'RE WRONG!!
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - You're right that gun control is only a cover to their real agenda...A quick lesson in history will teach anybody that...Look it up...Do you know that throughout history gun registration has always led to gun confiscation...Its the scary truth...Tyrants prefer an unarmed citizenry; that is why the founding fathers found it so crucial to make sure that every man be armed..Not for hunting and not just for self-defense (although that is important)..It is also our last line of defense agains tyranny
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - I mean you have to wonder why the government is so invested in getting everyone's guns when all the statistics and studies show that guns in the hands of law abiding citizens only works to reduce crime and death...Its scary if you ask me, especially now with that socialist pig coming into office
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Oh and if you want more fun statistics...look at what happened in Washington D.C. when they enacted a virtual ban on handguns in 1976. Between 1976 and 1991, Washington D.C.'s homicide rate rose 200%, while the U.S. rate rose 12%...Sounds like the "no guns thing" really works...LOL
Shadyac21 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Thank you I mean it says right in the Constution that we as citizens CAN carry guns so why do people want to get rid of that, I don't know. Maybe its because no one reads the constitution. Thanks for your comment.
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - How about England, which used to be the poster child for gun control activists here in the US until it became apparent the failure England really was..Newspapers started jokingly calling Manchester "Gunchester" because of the soaring crime rate...And when the media is picking up on the failure of gun control, you know it MUST be true..LOL
Shadyac21 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - One thing I wish they would ban is religion and fireworks. I'm sick of hearing both outside my window.
Shadyac21 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Finally someone whos read a history book. They won't tell you this stuff they just show you pictures and videos of people in pain who say if only we had more gun control my baby whould still be alive. You can't let that stuff blind you of the truth.
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - No problem, I don't think its that ppl don't read the constitution though...I think its that America has sadly become overrun with a bunch of filthy dogs who would like to take everything this country was built upon and the rights therein and throw them out the window...To say that these people must only be ignorant I think is being too kind
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Oh yeah, I know a little history but its not the stuff they want to teach in public school usually...They've only become government puppets for indoctrination...No, people gotta look pretty hard now to get any kind of real truth..Its sad...Oh, and I hear you about all the sensationalized news stories about the few kids every year that get hurt or injured with guns...
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Why don't they report the 1.5 million (thats a conservative estimate, too) times per year that peoples lives are saved or criminals are deterred with home defense guns, rather the 1000 times per year accidental death by gun occurs...Oh yeah, thats not the liberal media's agenda...It makes me sick
Stefanoitch Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - are these guys serious?? of course gun controll will reduce murders. Fucking conservaitve idiots
JigsawMaster Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - please never throw statistics at me, they can be interpreted many ways. think about it, maybe it's the opposite this city has a high crime rate, therefore it needs gun control.
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - What are you talking about? Of course any one statistic does not stand out and can not be used as a stand alone, but the fact is is that when statistic after statistic and study after study show that not only does gun control not reduce crime, but it also directly precedes rising crime rates, then you can not ignore it...
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - We use numbers, statistics, and studies in every arena of life to guide efficiency, safety, & a host of other things...except apparently no one wants to to measure the effectiveness of gun control because everyone would rather live in denial of the fact that its not a change in gun laws that we need to reduce violence, rather its a change in PEOPLE
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Here's another FACT...Not even a statistic, though I'm sure you could get one on it...100 years ago FAR more people had guns in this country by virtue of the fact that it was such an integral part of their lives with respect to hunting and tradition and NOWHERE near the amount of gun crime was committed...Hmmm...I wonder why...Funny how none of the facts point to law abiding citizens owning guns for protection as the problem
muckem09 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - LOL...Gun control will reduce murders? LOL...You give me the statistics showing that because I can show you a whole bunch of statistics and studies released by the Justice Department year after year to the contrary...How about this one released by the Clinton administration (& i give u that one bc/ it was done by a liberal, PRO-gun control administration). 1.5 million times in the year home defense guns used to defend lives & deter crime compared to only a little over 1000 accidental gun deaths
Stefanoitch Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - ok so why doese over elleven thousand people get killed by guns each year in the US alone. And how come kids are able to get guns and go to their school and kill other kids??

JigsawMaster Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - you are confusing gun control with gun ban. what gun control does is keep guns away from potentially deadly people. do you have a crime record? do you have training? and so on. so it will not be taking away guns from good people, unless there is reason to suspect they are bad people. minorities? there are about 10,000 gun murders in this country per year. hardly a minority.
