Dec 1, 2008 - kansaimagic: God creates all people the same, with freedom of choice, it's your choice to make sins, you choose the way your life is,It's just as easy to do something good as it is bad. and GOD is most merciful,And if u dont understand the reason behind the bombing u cant judge them.U only see what ur told to see, the world isn't the pretty place that USA shows u on CNN news, their are reasons for the bombings so if your not willing to find out both sides of the story why try to debate it.?

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - kansaimagic: As far as the 72 virgins in heaven part, this is partically correct, a man who dies fighting in the name of God,does receive this, BUT & this a BIG BUT it must follow strict rules on how it was done u can't walk into the street & hey "I dont like u" blow urself & think that's the way it works. Yeh, then it's just called suicide. then you go to hell & get nothing. there r alot of variables, so it cant be for personal gain.& the virgins are made by GOD, for a specific purpose.

marchog Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - There is nothing in the Quran about 72 virgins, you fool. I think you are referring to the Gharib hadiths, indeed the weakest of hadiths that has no Sanad - line or sequence of narration. The Quaran, and most hadiths condemn suicide. And it's all horseshit anyway, but at least get your horseshit right.

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - first of all i was replying to someone else who didn't have their horseshit right, it wasn't my comment,it was a reply to a comment...if you look back, you'll see, and suicide bombing is the title the media put on it, jihad is the proper name, and I wasnt saying that suicide is jihad. And of course i was talking about hadith, but i couldnt say hadith cuz most non-muslims dont know what hadith is. So ummm as u can see i do have my horseshit right..

marchog Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - So you do. It's me that is the fool. Jihad away.

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - do you speak nonsense just to hear ur self spea,,, if u'd look closer at my words i didnt say i did. but im not going to waste my time, speaking with some one who has a closed mind..

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Same reason Christianity was once the fastest growing religion. A very large number of people are ignorant and will believe whatever is taught to them at age 6. Virtually all Muslims are Muslims because they were taught to be Muslims when they were little children. Just like Christians and Hindus. Almost all Muslims you know would have been Hindus if they were given to religious Hindu families at the day of their births.

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Why did you duck my point about the Bolivian llama fetus sacrifice?

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - And to further elaborate on this: In most Islamic countries, there is tremendous social and cultural pressure for people to be Muslim. In contrast, in countries that used to be Christian governments (most of Europe, United States) there is no longer any compulsion or pressure to be Christian. So you can't contrast the growth of Muslim populations with Christian ones without leveling the playing field. (continued in next post)

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - (continued from last post) Also, with the reputation that Islam has, I'm pretty sure the estimate for the global Muslim population is inflated. Many Muslims who are not really Muslims will say they're Muslims when polled by their Muslim nation's governments because they don't want to get beheaded, stoned, hanged, shot.

Dec 1, 2008 - Paid cash, mate. But he asked me if I knew a guy called trac.Wanted to shake his hand for being his top recruiter.Said he had something special planned for him.

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - faraz I have a question for you do you live in an Islamic country? Have you ever lived in an Islamic country? And i mean you personaly not someone you know.. Just a question answer if u like.....

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - faraz... i didnt duck the point about the bolivian's ... the point is totaly irrelevant...so i didnt give it my time...opps..

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - I was born and lived in an Islamic country for about 15 years. I myself was raised as a Muslim. I was a typical, moderately religious Muslim until about 4 years ago. Please address the questions I asked and the points I made.

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - It wasn't not irrelevant, but just to satisfy you, I'll ask it without any context: People in Bolivia claim that doing a burnt offering of a llama fetus brings good luck and blessings. Muslims claim praying can bring blessings and good fortune from Allah. Neither has any evidence or supporting reasons. Until you can provide evidence against the Bolivian claim and evidence supporting your claim, both will be treated as meaningless, Santa Clau white noise.

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - *Yikes, double negative ... of course I meant "it was not irrelevant"

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - faraz: nope wrong again, We pray cuz it's what god DEMANDS from us, this is first reason for praying, and if you were really muslim u would know that. And of course there are actions and good deeds that give blessings,, and when i say blessings (i mean good deeds that are favoured by god, ) and if you dont have faith, then u wouldnt understand any evidence in the world.

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - well im originally from america, and im now living in an islamic country from 5 years. and my extended family for 25 yrs.

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - I mean pray as in duwaa. Not as in salaat or namaaz. Now answer my question again.

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - "and if you dont have faith, then u wouldnt understand any evidence in the world." Bull. Right now there are millions of people around the world examining and evaluating all kinds of evidence. Evidence does not require faith. That's the whole point (and strength) of the concept of evidence.

talicohen Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - are you saying that the San of the kalahari have at some point been influenced by middle eastern religions ? if so.explain

talicohen Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - hitchens vs dinesh was disappointing, full of ad hominem tactics and slippery logic

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - 1 we make duwaa for different reasons, but it's not to get blessings, sometimes we ask to be forgiven of sins, & ask that god help us or someone else with one matter or another,etc.. but making duwaa or prayer doesnt mean that allah answers them, he picks & chooses as he likes, it's a mental connection we make with god asking help..good/bad whatever it may be. it's kinda like speaking to god, with no spoken answer, to be honest it's difficult 4 me to put it in words,i explained it as best i can

faraz1729 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Thanks for ducking the question again. The Bolivian gods sometimes answer the llama fetus offering too by making it rain so their crops can grow.

jamila057 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Well i'm not a scholar on Bolivian Gods and their rituals, so u'll have to forgive my lack of knowledge on such matters..
